A long time customer sent along these links to a New York Times article about Robert Capa’s newly discovered (or recovered) cases of negatives, thought lost at the beginning of the Second World War.

I have been trying to authenticate delivery information for a military Leica. Leica Wetzlar kept immaculate factory production records, but I was informed this last week they will not be available for an indefinite period of time. The good news is that Leica will make these records available on-line in the future.
New this week are a Nikon F5 and several very nice Nikon AF lenses. These lenses are in very nice condition, but if you hold the lens to a strong angular light (a trick used by collectors) you will see a slight bit of haze. Nothing that will affect your images - these lenses were used professionally.
Also, we have dropped the price on several pieces, including some Nikon rangefinder lenses. All our catalog items may be found here.

We are offering a series of very nice pieces, including two Nikon M pre-sync, several mint condition Nikon lenses, a civilian Kardon, and several Leica cameras and lenses, including a very nice Luftwaffen Eigentum. Some are hard to price, since they rarely become available, especially in this condition. We will consider offers on these pieces - please email if you are interested.

We have dropped our prices on many Leica accessories, including two very rare accessories - the Leica FIATE Stereo Slide and the MBROO Waterproof ever-ready case for IIIf and earlier cameras.
We are trying something different — these two rare items are also being offered on eBay. You may buy them from our site at a 20% discount from our original price, or bid on eBay. Once eBay bids are submitted, these two pieces will be pulled from our catalog!
Leica Accessories
Also at auction:
PictoColor Software - We have two copies of an older version of this software available. They are unused, and great for a variety of digital applications.
Auctions may be viewed here.
Due to circumstances beyond our control we have not been as active on our web site as I would like. Expect to see many new items over the next months, and we are still working on the web site upgrade we promised!

It has been a while since our last e-mail. We are updating our web site, including the software used for our email messages to our subscribers list. This software will be more secure, and make it easier to subscribe and unsubscribe. It will also be accepted by more e-mail systems, some of which may have blocked our earlier subscriber messages.
You will see some changes through the rest of this year – a new look, an upgraded “shopping cartâ€, and more shipping options. We will also announce a new service that will be offered in 2008. This service may change the way you buy and sell on-line. Subscribers and customers will be given the chance to be involved early and at a discounted price.
Meanwhile, here are some new additions on Camera-Collectors.com:Â
Kodak Retina II
Leica M3 Single Stroke
Leitz 5cm f/3.5 Elmar
Leica Ever-Ready Case for M3
“Baby†Rolleiflex 4×4 Sports Model
We currently have no auctions on eBay. We will have several auctions starting next week.
Thanks for your interest, and your business.

Blogs have been around for quite a while, and I have blogged about areas of personal interest elsewhere. This is my first business-related blog. The idea here is to provide easy information about the changes coming to our web site, and the new services we will be offering. We will also use this forum to highlight new equipment arriving in inventory, and announce any eBay auctions we may run.
There are quite a few collectors who are very knowledgeable about different aspects of cameras and collecting. I hope to pursuade some of them to post articles of interest here from time to time.
I hope this proves valuable to customers and visitors. Feel free to comment.
